Our Story

Kevin and Marina's love story unfolded in Seattle, Washington, where they first met. When the pandemic led to their layoff, it became the unexpected catalyst for the beginning of their journey together. Their shared love for travel took them from the sandy coasts of North Carolina to the beaches of Hawaii, creating memories and collecting a few sunburns along the way.

Over the years, they developed shared passions, from supporting Special Olympics to enjoying Seattle Mariners games with season tickets. Despite life's obstacles, they built an inseparable bond. Seeking refuge from Seattle's winter rain, they vacationed on Waikiki Beach, where Kevin proposed on a romantic evening overlooking the resort's Friday night fireworks.

As they approach the next chapter of their lives as husband and wife, Kevin and Marina are thrilled to share their special day with their close-knit community. With an affinity for sun and beaches, they are excited to exchange vows on the beautiful beach nestled in Seattle's Centennial Park, surrounded by the people they cherish as much as each other. It promises to be a day filled with love and lasting memories.

Getting Downtown

There are lots of ways to get to downtown!

There are car rental services, and Lyft and Uber are relatively inexpensive although recently Yellow Cab taxi located in the Ride Share and Taxi Cab section on floor 3 of the parking structure of the airport, has been the more cost effective route to the Downtown core.

If you are feeling more adventurous, the light rail is only a few dollars to downtown Seattle.

What Will the weather be like?

Welcome to Washington, all of you out of towners! The weather can be funny. During the day, the weather in Seattle should be beautiful, averaging 65-70 degrees, but will get chilly at night. Please bring some warm layers for the evening, we don't want anyone freezing their bu... you get the point. ;)

What should I wear?

To keep inline with the theme, think beach dressy-casual. Please no jeans or flip flops.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. To access the beach you have to walk over a short foot bridge, through a grassy park and onto the sand. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas, chunky heels or sandals are recommended. (Please, no flip flops)
